Totally dead blog HAHA.
I guess I'm just typing for myself to read then. Well, A Level Mother Tongue Examination today, pretty much screwed it up. Didn't really know the 15 minutes interval between the 2 parts was for us to read through and I just sat there staring into blank space. So I didn't manage to complete the paper. Looking on the bright side, University Admission criteria only states that a pass is required so who really gives a shit about it. So now its just basically left with InR and OP. Hmm on a side note, have been chatting with my friends who either migrated abroad or went abroad to pursue a different side of Education - the more relaxed. Some of them are even planning on getting their PR citizenship over there. How envious could it get. Okay, maybe not for you, but certainly for me.
Reasons why I would love to leave Singapore:
1) Weather - Totally humid and hot weather ( not as bad till the extent as in the Middle East )
2) Stress Levels - Too much of coercion education wise.
3) People no doubt are friendly but not up to par with other countries. Take for example the MRT scene, passengers squeezing into the trains as soon as the doors of the train opens, leaving commuters who wish to leave the train in a dire state.
4) Well, we're Asians of the calibre " The Shy One ". Yes, we Singaporeans are totally towards the end of the shy scale as compared to our neighbouring Asian countries. We are restricted by too many mandatory laws and legislation that we do not dare to venture further. That's why people in the West see Asians as ' All time babies '.
5) There are practically more and more foreign talent coming into Singapore, not solely based on the help of headhunters but also based on initiative. So why the point of studying so hard just to attain that degree proof. The employment world is based on paper qualifications which is yes, a way to reward the people based on the meritocracy system. But does it make us better off in terms of other aspects such as our moral values?
Well, been considering Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Holland as one of my future choices. Isn't it ironic, I'm like only 17 and I already want to leave Singapore. There's more the life like character development, relationship forging and even the fundamental - our relationship with God. Well, I've been trying hard to convert in these years. Not sure if I'm on the right track though. Well, upcoming plans would be a Europe vacation to Germany, Switzerland & France and maybe a Asian Retreat at Thailand. Plans to Australia have been cancelled due to the unavailability of flights and accommodation difficulties and so on.
If only the World was a much better place. Ciao.
Hey people,Haven't really got the eagerness to blog recently. & That's why its dying and I'm here to revive it, hopefully. Promotional exams are over and I'm pretty okay with my results. So here's a quickie on what I did the past few weeks or so.Last Monday - Met up with Shu Mei, Bao Hui & Clinton and headed to Bugis to catch 500 Days Of Summer which sucked. Bought a hat !Last Tuesday - Frog leg lunch at Old Airport Road - Now my new craze is gorging over frog legs. Visited the Chinese Physician at Bugis and headed to Orchard to do some shopping at Marks & Spencer. Last Thursday - Went to Topman with quite a lot of people to shop. Massive discounts i tell you, super cheap =.=Errr then from last thursday onwards I couldn't really remember -.-But Last Saturday - Followed Dad to showroom to get his new car which I don't like at all. Lunch at Teochew Garden Restaurant at Orchard, Centrepoint.Tuesday & Wed - Going through of exam scripts.Wed Night - Heavy dinner at some fancy Japanese Restaurant at Clarke Quay.Fri - School in the morning. Laughed like crazy while watching the Ris Low interview in the computer lab. Met up with Mom for lunch at TCC at Wisma Atria and sent my Vaio off for repair ( I made it spoilt -.- ) Bought some stuff from Topman. Off to Bugis to visit the Chinese Physician again.Today - Visited dermatologist at Gleneagles then lunch at Sakae Tepanyaki at Century Square. Met BaoHui there. Planned to get my Blackberry but it was out of stock. Hmm, I'm still confused over what to get. Yes it's true that Blackberry phones are more for business-related stuff like mass e-mailing but its just so stylish that I can't resist. Other than that, the functions suck and it costs quite a lot. Yea I agree with BaoHui that PW = Pair Work. It's like my group has 5 members and only few of us are doing. Total crap man. And thanks stupid Marcus for reading my post in the computer lab -_- !1 More month to Europe !Ciao
Miss New Zealand so much. A land of wonder and awe. God's biggest creations.
My uncle passed away this morning at 2.53am. It's not been going very well for him. He managed to live 2 years longer than what doctors expected. However, he became relatively weak over the past few months and now it's time for the angels to collect his spirit. I believe he will go to heaven and enjoy eternal life with Christ. God Bless.
On a lighter note, my Promotional Exams have came to an end today and I haven't really been able to focus much as I've been pretty distracted with so many on-going things at the present moment. In fact, I think I screwed most of my papers up. Physics was a total killer, with me leaving 30-40 marks blank. I didn't really get sufficient time to study. Oh well, what's done cannot be un-done. Hopefully, in the upcoming promotional exercise, my name will not be shortlisted at all. Went with Bao Hui, Shu Mei & Lin Shan to Pizza Hut for lunch then off to catch the Meatball Movie in 3D. Wasn't really very interesting nor was it funny at all. Will be going over to my uncle's wake later. Guess that's all for now. I need to take a break from the hustle and bustle quick.
Omg, I'm so stressed up right now. My promotional exam will start tomorrow. And I've got very little time left for revision and there are plenty to cover. I'm so screwed.
Ah, happened to chance upon this picture. It was during the September Holidays last year when I went to Taiwan.
It was I think extremely close to the O Levels, what was I thinking man!?
Hey peeps,
I freaking tore my holiday apart. Here's a quick glimpse of my week.
Saturday - Went back to school for Economics. Went to Bugis after that to shop and to see the doctor.
Sunday - Did a fair bit of Math tutorials and did PW.
Monday - Returned to school for Economics & Physics. Slept through the whole afternoon till late evening.
Tuesday - Returned to school for Economics & Math. Slept through the whole day as well.
Wednesday - Returned to school for a Project Work marathon. Slept somewhat as I was pretty exhausted from all the days of hardcore work.
Thursday - Did some Math tutorials but still have got a lot more to go.
Friday - Went to Takashimaya and bought a billabong backpack for 170 bucks. Ouch. Went for tuition after that.
Saturday which is today - Tuition in the morning. Rugby match in the afternoon & buffet dinner at Arena Country Club.
And it sucks when the All Blacks almost made it during full time. Hmmm, I'm planning to change my C905 soon though to maybe a blackberry as it looks rather awesome even though I may not fully utilise its functions. But it's like I only changed my phone about 5 months ago! But it's crazy and I shall seize my opportunity since my Dad offered to change it for me. We have about 7 phone lines and like he's always changing every few months which makes me and my brother envious and go mad. On a side note, the promotional exams are like approaching closer day by day. Come on, I know I can do it. I just got to glue my bum to the chair.
Can't wait for the Europe tour !!
Ciao.
Hah, oh yes it's been very long indeed since I updated. Anyway, this blog is dying soon.
Okay, so the holidays are here. A one week break doesn't really mean anything as I would have to go back to school for 3 consecutive days for extra lessons as we're behind time. There will be extra lessons on Saturday as well. I've got to mug really hard this holiday as it's the only chance I have for my Promotional Exams. Things haven't really been going smoothly recently, lots of work, lack of sleep. I think I'm going to turn into a grotesque monster soon. I find that I do not study as hard as when I was in secondary school. It's just that I don't feel the motivation to work hard, yes I do push myself but always to no avail. But I'm looking forward to the year end holiday! Will be going to Germany,Switzerland and France! Can't wait. Oh and I do hope to catch up with some old pals :D
Until then.
I've always thought of migrating in my later years to either Oceania or to the alps in the Swiss. However, these countries often experience natural disasters. I'm happy to be born in Singapore for a reason and that is this place is natural disaster-free. It's indeed a blessing in disguise by God. The typhoons which affected Japan, Korea, China & Taiwan was horrendous, frightening and extremely sad. Many lives were lost. Buildings destroyed. Everyday the tears and voices of sorrow and sadness lingers through my mind as I watch the Taiwanese news channel. My God mom stays in Taiwan and when the typhoon was about to come, she went over to Hong Kong to stay until the calamity subsides. I'm thankful that my loved ones aren't lost. Taiwan experiences at least 3 typhoons every year and this is only the first one in this year. This is also the worst typhoon ever in the history of calamities in Taiwan. The first disaster not only seen lives being blown away but houses and hotels being destroyed, leaving the people homeless and in hunger. Certain roads were being cut off, leaving many people stranded on an 'island'. Two more typhoons to come for Taiwan and if any one struck real soon it could be really bad. Japan as mentioned also experienced the Typhoon and unexpectedly experienced an earthquake yesterday. My heart goes out to those affected in any way or other. Is this really the end of the world? Someone once said that the world would come to an end in 2011. If this is destined for us human beings, then I think it's time we all leave our fate in God's hands.

It's E-Learning day tomorrow and there isn't a need to report to college! However, I'll need to get up early before 8am to key in my temperature. Sounds so wrong. We would then have to follow the time slots and complete our assignments online and on time! Ridiculous. Ahh, lots of work to be done. More mid-term assignments coming up real soon! I really need a break. Send me to France !
Okay, firstly, deepest condolences to the victims of the terrorist attacks in Indonesia. It seems like a lot have beeb happening recently. I strongly condemn these wanton acts of violence and hope that the perpetrators of these heinous acts will be brought to justice. Sometimes, I tend to wonder why achieving peace is such a difficult thing to do? Well, I guess this is reality. Speaking of reality, I was sort of in a position yesterday. The guy whom i mentioned about in my previous post was basically the cause of this. The first time he raised the question if I could lend him some cash,
I naively lent him 30 bucks for the first time. From then on, he kept asking me for money. At times, he can be extremely lazy to just take out his wallet from his bag but ask me to buy stuff for him first. And then not returning the money after me giving him countless reminders. So yesterday, he had planned to go out with his friends after school and he asked me for 20 bucks. I refused to as i made a vow to myself that I wouldn't let others take advantage of me anymore. And hence, I refused to do so. He started to scold me vulgarities in my face and was going " What the **** is this ? " . His true colours have indeed surfaced. Well, I'm just confused now.
Went to Ajisen Ramen after school with Shu Mei And Bao Hui and caught Harry Potter, The Half Blood Prince.
I personally didn't find the movie entertaining as it was pretty much anti-climax. My plan for the day have been ruined. I wanted to complete my work early as I wanted to watch the Rugby Tri-Nations cup today. So today was a failure again. Went out for tuition in the morning and came back home to catch the live match. And oh, All Blacks trashed the Wallabies with 22-16.
The Kiwis didn't really get the hang of it in the first ten minutes but managed to get back onto their backbones soon after. My prediction of the Aussies dominating was totally wrong ! I've always wanted to learn the Haka. It seems like you focus all your energy onto your enemy. This is the only way i can scare my nemesis off in reality haha. Had dinner at Jumbo in town after that and came home pretty late. There goes my day, Poof.
9 more weeks to the promotion exam. It's 70%. Chances of retaining in a college is relatively high. The following 1-2 months would be intense practice for my A Level Mother Tongue Paper and Project Work. I don't seem to have a life these days...
Got back most of my results and not quite satisfied with it. Well, no comments.
I'm just disturbed by my classmate's arrogant behaviour. He's such a pain in the neck, or butt rather.
He's an extremely irritating guy who goes around bugging people for no reason. At one instant, he starts joking with you, and flares up the next second. I just read his freaking blog in which he made an extremely stupid remark which made me extremely flabbergasted. He got top for General Paper in class and he can't stop boasting about it. I shall quote a little for you.
"Anyway, I'd like to have a big, big laugh. Results thus far.
GP: C (Best in class, stupid muggers all can't mug for GP. I feel so freakin' proud about this.)
Chinese: B
Chemistry: S
Physics: S
Maths: U
This time, it's in my GP. I'm not exactly proud of my score of 54.5/100, but the thing is it's one of the better grades in my class. Just imagine how crappy these muggers' Engrish are. English is a subject that's alive, ergo you cannot mug to get good grades for it. Therefore, it's extremely significant that for someone like myself - who didn't mug at all for mid-years - to get relatively better grades than the rest of the muggers. Here goes: sucker punch to those who think that examinations have to be mugged in order to do well.
C'mon, I ought to be getting 60/70 for all my H2s at least if I tried my best. I'm sure I can get those grades if I really tried. "If" is not a plausible clause for conditions are not met, hence triggering of events return to zero. Bah. "He's just a typical loser who doesn't have a life and is only engrossed in playing his guitar all day long. Sucking up to others or boot licking rather wouldn't get you far in life dude, just like a road sweeper climbing up the social ladder. You're an egoist who knows nothing about life. If you were so adept and of a higher calibre, you wouldn't be joining us right here in TPJC right mate? I've got five words for you my friend : I feel sorry for you.
